If you’re looking for a long-term contract / temporary Senior Financial Analyst position, this could be the position for you! If you’re looking for work where you will be our client’s primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting, this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role might be right for you. Candidates who can perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments will be preferred for this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role. Brooklyn, New York will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst.
How you will make an impact
– Team closely with Functional leads by executing management reporting, advising in accounting and compliance, and ensuring operational initiatives are in alignment with each other
– Make business, operational, and financial processes to be shared, understood, and repeated by relevant teams
– Power existing management reporting by evaluating financial results, distilling and synthesizing issues, and articulating key updates to senior-level staff
– Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
– Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
– Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
– Survey financial results, condense key trends, appraise current and future business risks, and relay critical updates to senior leadership in the course of normal preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting
– Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Requirements:
– Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required
– Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
– Highly-skilled in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
– Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
– Ability to think critically and interact with management
– Skilled at process reengineering and optimization
– Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals
– Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
– High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
