Attention all Human Resources Generalists. HireDirect is working with a growing client to a hire a new Human Resources generalist. The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Major responsibilities:
– providing reports to the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
– adhere to management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
– Be present at interdepartmental meetings with managers
– Inform employees such that they follow all policies and procedures
– Understand and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings
– Organize historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
– Generate recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
– Lead human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
– Analyze compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits
– Lead and define exit interviews and procedures
– Amplify the organization’s human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
– Manage all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
Requirements:
– Ability to view issues with impartiality
– Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards
– Comfortable with handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
– Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
– Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
– Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant experience
– PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
– 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
– Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
– Knowledge of HR software and working knowledge of MS Office
– A familiarity with the main ideas of employment law and EEOC regulations
– Broad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
