Job Description:

  • Analyze customer data and customer risk rating model parameters using SQL to recommend changes to the model.
  • Provide support on the execution of the customer identification program, customer due diligence and beneficial owner, client risk rating, and processes with due diligence collection.
  • Periodic KYC review of existing customers, ensuring documentation is accurate & current.
  • Performs new customer onboarding, account opening, account updates, and static data maintenance. Provides quality control of KYC (Know Your Customer) and CIP customer information and assures verification in accordance with AML policy and procedure.
  • Research and validation of entity data using appropriate internal and external data sources.
  • Entity Data includes but is not limited to legal name verification, address, nature of business and ownership, and other requirements as specified in the KYC procedure.
  • Identify, monitor, and update client information in internal systems.
  • Analyze legal documents and financial reports relevant to KYC processes
  • Perform negative news and Sanctions screening processes for customers and related parties.
  • Liaise with the line of business, operations, and compliance to provide management reporting
  • Perform reviews of Compliance procedures and processes.
  • Project management responsibilities may be required, e.g., producing project reports risk analysis, and weekly updates for management.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information from Business areas regarding appropriate KYC documentation.
  • Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) Process, Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Customer Risk Rating (CRR).
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML/KYC/OFAC.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required or a master’s degree.
  • Proficient in using SQL to query and analyze data.
  • Two to three years of relevant experience at detail-oriented services firm and/or bank.
  • Transaction monitoring experience that is focused on correspondent banking activity and/or OFAC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making/critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong writing skills: must be able to write clear and concise reports and communicate with management.
  • Strong internet research skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (pivot tables, charts, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to show initiative and provide proactive updates.
  • Exhibited ability to act as a mentor to new hires, helping them to acclimate and introducing them to the group’s culture.
