Job-Description:
Terminal IT/OT Support is responsible for providing end-user support and day-to-day support and maintenance of terminal’s IT/OT infrastructure and assets where it requires hands-on activities, ensuring optimal delivery of technology services for the business within the agreed service level.
Job content & execution
Support and maintain the OT networking environment
Implement and execute remote OT device monitoring
Implement change on networking environment without unplanned service interruption
Ensure optimum health and operation of networking systems and environment
Ensure full compliance to cyber security configurations and standards
Keep up to date with new networking technologies and how this enables new industrial technologies
Provide support, conduct maintenance, resolve incidents, and implement change for local IT infrastructure services and assets, requiring hands-on interaction. Including, but not limited to datacenter racks, cabling, network, and server equipment.
Provide support, conduct maintenance, resolve incident, and implement change for local OT infrastructure services and assets, requiring hands-on interaction. Including but not limited to CCTV/OCR equipment, biometric readers, radio equipment and VMTs
Support the regional IT service delivery team when they require hands-on onsite IT/OT support for incident and change management
Install and replace end user and IT/OT infrastructure hardware devices
Resolve incidents within agreed service levels
Participate in regional CAB
Accountable For
End-user support services to agreed service levels
Providing support and maintenance of local IT/OT infrastructure requiring hands-on intervention, to agreed service levels and in collaboration with the regional IT service delivery team
Local IT / OT assets to stay within warranty and vendor support
Ensuring secure OT device configurations in line with APMT standards and policies
Using proper monitoring tools to provide full visibility to IT Operations and the business.
Work with other departments such as Asset Maintenance to troubleshoot communication issues
Creating and maintaining data flow diagrams for all OT business applications that meet industry standards.
Using Service Now for incidents or network requests within local IT SLAs.
Parameters for success
Service delivery – ensure OT availability, performance, scalability, incident & problem management, SLA compliance
Compliance – ensure compliance to cyber security, data policies and controls
Ensure Network Infrastructure availability
Being able to work with different operational departments to ensure applications perform as expected.
Critical competencies
In-depth knowledge and expertise on industry standard networking technologies and standards
In depth knowledge of end-user software and devices
In depth knowledge of local IT and OT infrastructure components
Experienced at working according to industry standard ITSM practices
Communicative – able to translate between technical and user language
Problem solving skills
Use of wireshark or other packet capturing software
Use of monitoring tool such as Solarwinds or similar
Ability to multitask between different OT related projects and incidents simultaneously.
Being able to outdoors and at heights with vendors and APMT employees.
