Job Description:

There is a long-term contract / temporary opening as a Senior Financial Analyst for one of our clients. New York will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. To succeed in this role, you will need to be our client’s primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. You’ll be interested in this Senior Financial Analyst consultant position if you want to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.

What you get to do every single day:

– Drive existing management reporting – analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management

– Provide dynamic support for all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

– Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates

– Work closely with Functional leads – provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives

– Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams

– Manage positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

– Coordinate with Operations and Accounting to discreetly and accurately track financial results in order to drive improved management reporting

– Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization


– Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

– Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint

– Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals

– A thorough understanding of office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

– CPA or MBA preferred

– Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

– High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

– Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization

– Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols

– Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management

– Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
