Description:

A growing client is working with HireDirect to hire a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Your responsibilities:

– Research compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

– Outline recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws

– Organize exit interviews and procedures

– Establish management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

– Assess reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

– Understand and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

– Head up all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team

– Head up human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

– Attend interdepartmental meetings with other managers

– Teach employees such that they follow all policies and procedures

– Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

– Build up the organization’s human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices

Requirements:

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are desired
  • Solid understanding of HR software and strong familiarity of MS Office
  • Excellent ethics, integrity, and standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
  • Broad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
  • An understanding of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
  • 5+ years in human resources
  • Ability to view issues with impartiality
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
