HireDirect is looking to fill a Human Resources Assistant position in the Retail – Food Store industry. In addition to being in charge of a number of different personnel related administrative tasks, the Human Resources Assistant will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This long-term contract / temporary opportunity is with a company in the Retail – Food Store industry and is based in the Englewood, New Jersey area.


– Oversee office and administrative tasks

– Partake in new employee on-boarding orientation planning

– Explore the internet to locate potential customers

– Maintain employee database documents


– Approachable and appropriate behavior when interacting with personnel at all levels in a quickly changing environment

– Excellent communication and organizational skills

– Familiar with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

– Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

– Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information

– Background working with Union Contracts

– Demonstrated knowledge of Paperwork

– Deep understanding of employee engagement

– Employee Changes experience

– New employee orientation experience required

– FMLA experience highly preferred

– General familiarity with Paper Filing

– Adeptness in Complete Paperwork

– Conduct Interviews experience desired

– Practical knowledge of Onboarding

– Experience with Conducts new-Employee Orientations
