Description:
The Executive Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the strategic planning and executive oversight of our internal and external human resources and people operations strategies. The incumbent will be a driving force in the execution of the firms’ mission by partnering with our leadership teams to elevate our company culture, emphasizing high performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities and Scope of Role:
- Provide strategic vision and direction for the firms’ human resources function in consult with executive leadership teams
- Participate in business planning and strategic direction with executive leadership including but not limited to organizational structure, recruiting and diversity, employee engagement and retention, and
- Lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations HR compliance and strategy needs
- Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Identifies key performance indicators for the company’s human resources and talent management functions; assesses the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resources team, assists with escalation and resolution of employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics to build
- Monitor and ensure firms’ compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices as required to maintain compliance
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Minimum 10-15 years progressive experience in human resources management
- Experience in change management or organizational development and transformation
- Practiced in building, implementation, and execution of HR and people operations strategy
- Superb organizational and analytical skills; acute attention to detail
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Expert knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
- Stellar verbal and written communications skills
Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- High proficiency with HRIS software, ADP Workforce Now experience a plus!
