Description:

If you love Human Resources and you’re looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, HireDirect has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.

Key responsibilities:

– Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook

– Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee

– Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures

– Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

– Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations

– Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department

– Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors

– Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

– Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite

– Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections

– Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees

– Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

Requirements:

– Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plu

– Prior full cycle recruiting experience

– B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

– Excellent written and verbal business skills

– Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

– Highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity

– Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

– Proven understanding local, state and federal laws

– Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms

– Prior HR Generalist experience
